RESEARCH: His research area is Vibration and Structural Dynamics by both Experiments and Analysis including FE model updating, Vibration control, and Health Monitoring techniques, Plant Maintenance & Reliability. He received prestigious Young Scientist (Boyscast) Fellowship in 1999 from the Department of Science and Technology, India for his outstanding work in Vibration diagnosis and Structural Dynamics related to number of rotating machines and structural components of Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs). He is the author of more than 300 technical papers (Journal-111nos, Conference-101nos, project technical reports>60 nos, many Invited and keynote lectures+ 5 Edited Proccedings +4 Edtorials in Journals+ 4 books) in the field of structural dynamics & vibration measurements, plant reliability and maintenance.

RESEARCH PROJECTS: Prof. Sinha has been extensively involved in a number of research projects (> £3M) related to Vibration & Dynamics and instrumental in developing a number of innovative techniques in his research area. He has solved several industrial vibration problems of machines and strctures saving millions of money on their maintenance. Few projects are mainly on steam turbines (EDF UK), wind turbunes (EDF UK), Gearboxes (EDF and QinetiQ UK), Stream Turbine Governing Valves,  Structural Design Optimisation (Texkimp Ltd, UK), India Nuclear power plant's machines and strucures, etc.

TEACHING PROJECTS: PI of a few professional teaching projects (>£1.5 M) with industies.

PROFESSIONAL TEACHING EXPERIENCE: Teaching vibration monitoring to the professional Engineers alreading working in the industries (so far professionals from more than 350 industries worldwide). The subject content is equivalent to the category 3/4 (as per ISO code).

CONSULTANCIES: Prof. Sinha has always been consistently doing consultancies to solved the industrial vibration problems in machines and structures. This has generated additional funds of more than £50k.

CPD courses: PI of a few customised CPD courses and regularly attracting professionals to do CPD courses in Reliability Engineering Asset Management (REAM). These REAM CPD courses are fully recognised by IMechE UK. This has generated nearly £800k
