A 77-year-old woman has died from injuries sustained in a single vehicle crash Monday afternoon.
On Monday, July 8 at about 2:39 p.m., the Scott Emergency Communications Center received a report of a motor vehicle crash near the 12500 block of New Liberty Road, according to a news release from the Scott County Sheriff's Office. The two-lane highway runs between the city limits of northwest Davenport and Maysville.
An initial investigation determined a gray 2010 Nissan Altima was traveling west on New Liberty Road and veered off the road to the right shoulder into the ditch, striking an embankment and causing the vehicle to go airborne, the release said. The vehicle landed in a cornfield on the north side of the road and continued to drive through the field.

The driver appeared to have found their way out of the cornfield and came to rest in the north ditch, the release said.
Officials have identified Pamela Brennan, 77, as the passenger who died from injuries sustained in a crash Monday afternoon. Daniel Stewart, 64, has been identified as the driver of the vehicle. Both are from New Liberty.
Stewart was evaluated by medical personnel on scene and refused further medical treatment, the release said. Brennan was transported to Genesis East Emergency Room in critical condition where she later died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
Both were found to have been wearing their seatbelts at the time the crash occurred, the release said.
The Scott County Sheriff's Office Accident Investigation Team responded to the scene. The county sheriff's office, emergency communication center, Scott County Medic EMS and Maysville Fire Department assisted.
The crash remains under investigation by the accident investigation team.
