Two prominent apartment buildings in the Quad-Cities have been purchased by a Chicago developer.
The Mississippi Lofts at 106 E. Third Street in Davenport and the 5 & 15 Apartments above the Chase Bank building at 501 15th Street in Moline were purchased by Becovic Holdings.
The Davenport building holds 56 apartments, one retail space and was purchased for $2.4 million. The 1931 building has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since Oct. 22, 1998. In Moline the 5&15 Apartments, anchored by Chase Bank, holds 33 apartments and was purchased for $3.1 million.
Becovic Holdings also owns the Waterfront Apartments on River Drive in Moline and The Bend Apartments in East Moline. The Chicago-based company also owns property in Rockford, Chicago and near O'Hare airport.
