About the Program
Students in the University of Cincinnati Lindner College of Business Master of Science in Applied Economics program learn how to build models based on economic principles and how to best apply data analysis to estimate, test, interpret and explain these models. As part of the program’s focus on real-world application of economic theories, students have the opportunity to earn a SAS programmer certification, engage in paid research or internships while in the program and/or student abroad in Norway (at no additional cost). 90% of students in the program secure a full-time position within three months of graduation and students earn a median starting salary of $65,000. Recent graduates have been hired by many of the country’s most respected companies, including J.P. Morgan, Nielsen, Procter & Gamble and Fifth Third Bank. Merit-based scholarships are available for qualifying students.
