A relatively new program, Rogers State University’s first online MBA class graduated in 2021, and they have been commended for having both a great quality and very affordable program. Most of their OMBAs are working professionals with varying timelines, so the B-School allows them the option to start their degree at various dates throughout the year.
This fall, the OMBA welcomed 39 new students, for a total of just 80 MBA students in the program. The degree can be completed in as short as 18 months, but most students complete it in two years.
The Rogers State OMBA requires a total of 36 credit hours, with the curriculum carefully designed to meet the needs of MBAs in today’s business world. The coursework includes foundations in accounting, critical thinking and ethics, business strategy, financial management, and managerial economics, and aside from the credits the B-school offers, students can request up to six applicable graduate credit hours by transfer from any other accredited institution. As for specializations, Rogers State OMBAs can choose from Accounting, Business Analytics, Health Care Management, Management, and Sport Management.
Part of the nature of being online: The OMBA does not require or set up internships or immersion experiences because nearly all of their OMBAs are working full-time. Even so, students still have opportunities to work with faculty to gain relevant research experience.
“I chose the MBA program at Rogers State University because I am interested in moving into management. The program is specifically designed for working adults and has convenient class schedules. The professors understand our professional goals and help us get the most out of our MBA. I’m glad I chose to get my MBA,” says Rogers State OMBA Ginger Voska.
