Pregnant Vanessa Morgan Reveals Sex of Her Baby on the Way with Boyfriend James Karnik: 'Any Day Now'

It's a girl!

On Sunday, July 7, Vanessa Morgan revealed in an Instagram post that she and her boyfriend James Karnik are expecting a baby girl "any day now." The pregnant Riverdale alum, 32, shared the baby's sex with a series of photos from an outdoor photo shoot with Karnik, 25, and a picture of a butterfly-covered cake that reads, "Baby Girl."

"My GIRL🌸.. can’t believe you’re gonna be here any day now," Morgan wrote in her caption.

While this is Morgan and Karnik's first child together, the Wild Cards star is also a mom to 3-year-old son River, whom she shares with her ex-husband Michael Kopech. And River's just as excited as his mom for his new sibling.

"River literally asks everyday is baby sister coming today!? He’s so excited to be your big brother," Morgan wrote in her post.

She added, "Me, Riv & your Daddy can’t wait to meet you!"

The Canadian professional basketball player and the actress dressed up for their photos, with Morgan wearing a flowing beige dress and Karnik wearing a matching beige shacket with jeans. The two kiss as Karnik cradles her baby bump.

Morgan first announced her pregnancy news on July 6, sharing more photos from the couple's outdoor photoshoot on Instagram. In the caption, Morgan revealed that the baby is due to arrive "this month."

"So in love with this man, our family of 4 coming this month.🤰🏽#2 🫶🏽 Surprise! Thank you GOD," Morgan's caption read.

Back in November 2021, Morgan spoke to PEOPLE about the parenting advice she got from her former Riverdale costar Mark Consuelos and his wife, Kelly Ripa as she began her motherhood journey.

"I talked to Kelly [and Mark] after I gave birth [to River]," she said at the time. "They were just excited for me, and gave me beautiful, beautiful baby clothes for River."
