Cornet Custard opens a shop, a South Waterfront restaurant serving Indian and Pakistani food, and more recent openings

Naomi Pomeroy and Mika Paredes’s frozen custard business, Cornet Custard, opened a shop on Southeast Division Street on June 14.

Cornet offers scoops and pints in rotating flavors — which often utilize local produce — like malted strawberry, cardamom-mango, and coconut almond joy. Read more about the opening here. Cornet Custard is open at 4525 SE Division Street.

Snappy’s

What it is: The retro-inspired sandwich shop has opened a second location offering sandwiches, wraps, salads, slushies, and more.

Tipsy Teapot

More Openings

Bar Loon

On June 8, Bar Loon opened in the Southeast Belmont Street space formerly home to beloved vegan watering hole Sweet Hereafter. The team behind Mt. Tabor’s Bellwether Bar, including co-owner Ansel Vickery, have designed Bar Loon to have a European-style brasserie feel. Folks familiar with Bellwether chef Jimmy Askren’s food can expect similar small plates, including vegan options. Cocktails here are taking a bit of a backseat to wines by the glass. Bar Loon is located at 3326 SE Belmont Street.

Tanaka Gresham

What it is: A new location of the Japanese sandwich shop and bakery is now open at Gresham’s Alta Civic Station.

Ranch Pizza and LoRo Coffee
