Fishing is a simple, accessible and fun family activity. This summer, Parks Canada's outdoor education team invites young people aged 6 to 17 to a free learn-to fish activity on the banks of the Lachine Canal National Historic Site.
During this activity, participants will learn about the biology of fish, the basics of fishing, angler ethics and the regulations and safety of sport fishing in Quebec. At the end of this activity, each youngster will receive a fishing license valid until his or her 18th birthday. Reservations are required.
