Biographie

Washington, D.C. native Kevin Durant's basketball talent was evident from a young age. After a decorated high school career, the forward played just one season at the University of Texas - earning the Player of the Year award - before declaring himself eligible for the 2007 NBA Draft.

Drafted second overall by the Seattle SuperSonics, he averaged over 20 points per game and was named NBA Rookie of the Year Award. As the organisation transitioned to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Durant quickly became the face of the franchise and earned multiple All-Star selections.

Kevin Durant: MVP Season, Championship and Olympic success

In the 2013-2014 season, the former University of Texas basketball standout was named the NBA's Most Valuable Player as the Thunder reached the Western Conference final.

"KD" caused a seismic shift in the NBA landscape In 2016 when he announced his decision to sign for 2015 champions the Golden State Warriors. Despite facing criticism for joining an already talented team, featuring the likes of Steph Curry and Draymond Green, his move proved successful. He led the Warriors to consecutive NBA titles in 2017 and 2018, winning Finals MVP both times. He eventually joined the Brooklyn Nets in 2019 before moving to the Phoenix Suns in 2023.
