In order to apply for a job with the Department of Justice, most individuals with no prior state service must first take an exam. The section below includes information about current examinations being given by the Department. Career Executive Assignment (C.E.A) Examinations

Applications are now being accepted for the following C.E.A. examinations. Applicants do not need prior civil service experience to take these examinations, however they should meet the Desirable Qualifications as identified on the examination bulletin. Please click on the position title to view the examination bulletin. The examination for C.E.A. positions is the evaluation of a Statement of Qualifications. A template is available on how to complete the Statement of Qualifications.

CONTINUOUS FILING OPEN EXAMINATIONS

Examinations are scheduled as needed. After taking a scheduled examination, you would be placed on an "eligible list" from which we are able to make hiring decisions.

Since eligibility lists apply only to positions in specific locations, you will want to carefully note details in the examination bulletin. Click on the job titles below to view minimum qualifications, the specific location of the position, examination location and other information.

NOTE: Regarding the cut-off date for a continuous examinations, submission of the application after that date will not be accepted for the current examination, but will be held for the next scheduled examination (see Next Estimated Cut-off Date column.
