36 Things on Sale That Would Also Make Great Father’s Day Gifts

Father’s Day is this Sunday, June 16, so it’s really, truly the last call for gift shopping. I’ve been rounding up the best on-sale gifts that will arrive in time for over two weeks now, and while a lot of things, at this point, won’t make it in time, there are still 36 items that will reach his doorstep by June 16. Below, I’ve found a few dozen tasteful and thoughtful gifts that only look like you spent a lot. Scroll on to see the goods I spotted — hydration packs(!), coffee-table books(!) — but just know that shipping times will change, and likely quickly, so if you see something you like, buy it now. If you want even more ideas, you can peruse all of our Father’s Day gift guides here, and we rounded up 20 more last-minute Father’s Day gift ideas that will arrive in time. But if nothing appeals, you can always opt for one of our favorite e-gift cards, which will definitely arrive on time.

PuttOUT Medium Putting Mat
$70
$70

An easily stashable mat to perfect his putt anywhere, anytime.

$70

A handsome toiletry bag that writer Brenley Goertzen recommends in her roundup of Father’s Day gifts for under $100.

This teeny tracker can be attached to a TV remote, headphones, chargers, or a glasses case, making it a great gift for a forgetful dad. (If you get it from Target, you’ll have to select in-store pick-up.)

An inexpensive, Strategist-approved press we love for both grilling and panini-making.

This would make a nice coffee-table book the photography buff.

I’m getting my dad this pocket-size photo printer because he’s always snapping pictures. It connects to his phone via Bluetooth to print pics on the spot, and this bundle comes with 68 photo sheets so he can start printing ASAP.

Anker Magnetic Power Bank
$31
$31

He’s unlikely to lose this magnetic phone charger.

Everyone deserves to know the luxury that is the bidet. Bonus points if you install it for him.

For the dad starting to worry about dark circles, get him this Anderson .Paak–approved eye cream. You’ll have to select in-store pick-up at Nordstrom to get it by Sunday.

Pair it with one of our favorite face washes, which is especially good for those who shave frequently and want something nonirritating. This, too, will only make it by Father’s Day with in-store pick-up.

From $100

Gamer dads will love this mobile controller that turns your iPhone or Android phone into a first-class gaming experience. As tech writer Jordan McMahon says, “I always have my phone on me anyway, and an iPhone plus a Backbone can easily fit into most small bags, fanny packs, or even an adequately sized clutch.”

If tailgating is his weekend activity of choice, get him this portable Coleman grill.

An easy-to-read remote meat thermometer means he can check on the progress of his fillets from the comfort of his AC’d living room.

And if he’s just getting into grilling, this all-in-one starter set will turn him into a pitmaster in no time. I’d suggest selecting in-store pickup in order to get this before Sunday.

A simple but stylish Lululemon hoodie for a very good price. This, too, would need to be picked up in store, if available, to make it for Father’s Day.

A cute carry-all for the dad with a green thumb.

Theragun Mini (1st Gen)
$149
$149

It’s not the biggest discount, but this teeny Theragun (it’s less than six inches wide) will help work out aches and pains.

For dads getting into running, one of our favorite beginner-friendly pairs of running shoes is still on sale over at REI — you’ll just need to choose in-store pickup to get it before Sunday.

From $50

If he’s already got running shoes, perhaps he’d appreciate our best overall hydration pack. It comes with the brand’s popular Podium Chill water bottle, which former Strategist writer Karen Iorio Adelson and other runners praise because it’s insulated and has a twist-to-close valve that prevents spillage.

Crocs Dylan Clog
$40

For the man who enjoys a comfy shoe but doesn’t want to commit to that signature Croc look just yet. (They’re Chris Black–approved, if that matters.)

Merrell Hydro Moc (Men’s)
From $40
From $40

These fugly Merrells are a great summertime shoe.

Magic Bullet Blender
$40

If he always starts his day with a smoothie, our best less-expensive personal blender is just $36.

$40

And if he starts it with coffee, he’ll appreciate our best-in-class burr grinder from Krups.

For far more inexpensive latte-making, I recommend this $8 milk frother. It’s battery operated and easy to clean.

From $103

Ember’s self-heating mug keeps drinks consistently warm for hours. It’s $120 in every color except white, which is $83 when you apply the on-site coupon.

Sonos Era 100
$199
$199

For the serious audiophile, I’d recommend Sonos speakers. I’ve had the One — which is very similar to the Era 100 — since 2018, and the audio is just as crystal clear as it was the day I got it.

Amazon Echo Pop
$18
$18

But if you’re on a budget, Amazon’s highly rated portable speaker, the Echo Pop, is only $20.

Apple Pencil (2nd Generation)
$79
$79

Apple’s excellent Pencil for digital illustration is very on sale.

$169

AirPods are always a nice gift if you’re truly stumped.

From $199

I was first introduced to the world of noise-canceling headphones by my dad, so it’s only fitting that I add this Strategist-approved (and $100 off) pair from Bose here.

$10 for 10

They’re ugly, but necessary, for the dad who likes to hike or camp over the summer.

$9

The LifeStraw — a Sharpie-size device that filters bacteria and parasites out of water from any source — is also useful for outdoorsy dads.

$45

AeroPress’s coffee press — which landed a coveted spot in our recent update of the Strategist Travel 100 — is 20 percent off.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
