Gramercy ice cream shop Caffe Panna is headed to Brooklyn this week. The scoop shop, known for its decadent flavors and rotating menu, is opening a 4,700-square-foot location on Thursday in Greenpoint, according to a spokesperson for the brand (16 Norman Avenue and Banker Street). The new shop will serve 12 flavors at a time — five of them change daily — plus soft serve and granita. Opening hours are Wednesday to Sunday, from 1:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Hallie Meyer, daughter of Shake Shack’s Danny Meyer, opened the original Caffe Panna in 2019, where she became known for her ice cream inspired by Italian gelato: The flavors are churned in the building with add-ins like fruit jams, chocolate ganache, olive oil, and in-season tomatoes. Scoops are finished with a dollop of whipped cream, known in Italian as panna.

Sartiano’s to open in the Hamptons

Sartiano’s is opening its second location on July 13 — in East Hampton’s Hedges Inn (74 James Lane at Hook Pond Lane). Instead of opening an outpost of Zero Bond — which the community vociferously pushed back on — Scott Sartiano’s Bond Hospitality, also behind Darling, Rose Lane, Broken Coconut, and SubMercer, deferred to a more tailored sit-down spot, with chefs Alfred Portale and Chris Lewnes overseeing the food menu, according to a spokesperson. Look for dishes like seafood salad, fried zucchini flowers, branzino, prawns, and short rib. It’s open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. From July 18 through August 31, American Express Centurion Members will have priority access. Last seating is 8 p.m. — Melissa McCart, editor

Roberta’s slice shop has opened in Manhattan

Roberta’s has opened in Manhattan, starting with the ground floor, R Slice — its second location of the slice shop, which opened this spring in Bushwick. The slice shop (1 Pennsylvania Plaza, between 33rd and 34th streets) sells New York and Neapolitan styles, the former $4 to $6 for a slice, and up to $42 for a whole pie, with toppings like onion and chive, cheese, and clam. Twelve-inch Neapolitan styles include the bee sting (soppressata, tomato, basil, chile, honey), normcore (cherry tomatoes, mozzarella), and rosso, among others, for $17 to $25 each. Other slice-shop options include pepperoni rolls, garlic knots, and chocolate chip cookies. An upstairs restaurant is opening later this month. — Melissa McCart, editor
