Eleven Madison Park, the three-Michelin-starred restaurant once named the “best in the world,” is opening a bar.

Clemente Bar, a “first-of-its-kind cocktail and culinary experience,” is opening this fall, according to a listing on the hiring platform Culinary Agents. The address of the bar has not been announced. A representative for Eleven Madison Park declined to comment on the location.

The announcement could be a reference to the existing bar at the back of Eleven Madison Park, which currently serves $26 cocktails with carrot and leek. The job listing describes Clemente Bar as “refined casual.” Servers are expected to “create memorable guest experiences,” “anticipate guests’ needs,” and “recognize regulars.” The listing mentions a dining room and a bar.

Eleven Madison Park has been open in Flatiron since 1998, originally under Danny Meyer. Daniel Humm and Will Guidara took over in 2011, and in 2019, Humm bought out Guidara: “It was clear they were both ready for the relationship to change,” the New York Times reported at the time.

In 2022, Humm shocked the world when he announced that Eleven Madison Park would become a vegan restaurant. Early reviews were scathing, with the New York Times comparing one of its signature dishes — a roast beet — to lemon Pledge. Nonetheless, Eleven Madison Park has retained its three-Michelin-star rating.
