Watchbird is a Norwegian medical technical company developing mini multi-sensors and sensor systems for the military and civilian market as countermeasures against Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) threats. We make tools for DETECTING, identifying, monitoring, diagnosing and communicating air health hazards which soldiers and personnel may be exposed to. We also develop PROTECTION wear for low level respiratory hazard exposure. Watchbird consists of well competent technical-, medicine-, industrial- and former high ranked military and civilian leaders involved, who are security cleared at NATO Secret level. We have a 4-year ongoing research & development cooperation agreement with the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI), a cooperation agreement with the Norwegian Armed Forces, the Norwegian Special Forces (NORSOF), Ministry of Defense (MoD), Kongsberg Innovation (KI), the US Army development command (DEVCOM) and the European Defense Fund (EDF).

Today at the SOF Week in Tampa/Florida: Watchbird and the Norwegian-American Defence & Homeland Security Industry Council (NADIC) agreed on the terms for Watchbird´s permanent NADIC membership. «We have been temporary NADIC members the last year under the Hacking 4 Allies program. Last week Watchbird attended the final meeting in the Hacking for Allied (H4A) program in Washington DC led by the Forsvarets forskningsinstitutt - FFI, Innovation Norway and the Norwegian Embassy in Washington DC. Thank you all for allowing us to be part of this cohort Tore Helland, Marie Hardine Dahl, Einar Gustafson and Manuel Kliese. As a member of the Norwegian American Defence and Homeland Security Industry (NADIC), we had the opportunity to participated in NADIC´s 10th anniversary, NATO 75-year commemoration and the reception at the Norwegian Embassy Residence. Thanks to NADIC and Chloé Linn Friberg for hosting the events. The Washington DC Defence Week ended with participation at the Sea Air Space Exhibition together with our H4A partners and the Norwegian defence industry. The Watchbird team represented by CEO Rune Jomaas, COO Hans Petter Grette, CTO Tor Helge Henry and legal advisor Johan Woo Kvandal are grateful for the engaging dialogue we had with our partners and established network. The discussions and presentations we carried out with the Norwegian Ministry of Defence (FD), Norwegian Defence Material Agency (FMA), Innovation Norway (IN), Norwegian Defence and Security Industry Directory (FSI) among others, seem promising for further development.
