We had a tremendously fun evening where the short films funded by WWF @ Todd Paige and produced by Bananabones @ Jeff Siebert finally could be shared portraying seaweed farmers Nicholas Mangini, Matthew Obee and Ana R. Borrero Santiago in "Portrait of a Seaweeed Farmer". And thank you to NEXT HERO AS / Bjørn Michaelsen for the smooth running of the technical bit and Digs for exceeding our expectations in making every item on the menu with seaweed - it was great! And to all of you that came yesterday or joined by live stream, it means the world to us at Seaweed Solutions to be able to facilitate this event and to show a small glimpse into the world of seaweed. We hope it inspired some of you to consider seaweed as part of the solution to some of the challenges we are facing in mitigating climate change, reducing waste and increasing food production. Our kelp harvest started in #Frøya, and Kristaps Miders from Keeptrack spent some days with us! The goal was to to monitor the implementation of their cloud-based tracking solution :) Keeptrack platform is able to track the entire value chain, from the collection of the kelp parents to the finished product at the processing facility. At Seaweed Solutions, we are now tracking every harvested kilogram of kelp. And we are starting to implement the platform in our whole internal production, including the kelp nursery. Additionally, this platform will ensure the traceability for our seed customers, as Arctic Seaweed AS, Nordi Ocean and Wandering Owl - kelp farmers which are also working with KeepTrack.
