Engineering Manager

Good afternoon,

A client of mine in Amsterdam are searching for an Engineering Manager. My client is a major European renewable energy company. You will be involved in managing the engineering on their district heating projects in Amsterdam.

Start: September

Location: Amsterdam , the Netherlands

Duration: 12 months inital contract - Project running till 2028

Work Pattern: 50% Hybrid work from home 50% from the office (Amsterdam) or one of two sites in Amsterdam

Contract Type: Freelance/ZZP

Job Description - Engineering Manager - Amsterdam:

• Activities:Work on district heating projects with E boilers and Heat pumps
• Conceptual design work
• Basic Engineering
• Analysing and calculating energy center systems, liaising with advanced-stage district heating projects for optimization
• Managing contractors (EPCs) through the Basic engineering and execution phases.
• Liaise with other District Heating projects at advanced implementation stages for system optimization.
• Provide engineering leadership and ensure effective project management.
• Oversee and manage EPC contractors.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Requirements:

• English speaking, Dutch is a big preference
• 5+ yrs experience leading Engineering teams
• Preference if you have lead electrical or process teams
• Energy, power, utilities or district heating experience
• E boiler or heat pump experience is a massive bonus
