In this #digital age, our perception of truth is challenged by the rise of AI-driven misinformation, and the truth has become increasingly fluid. As a #futurist, I am concerned about the societal impact of AI and other technologies, such as the metaverse, particularly as we venture deeper into the post-truth era. So, when my digital twin and I were asked to deliver a #TEDx talk, I decided to talk about finding a path forward. It's vital to recognise the power of emerging technologies, not just as technological advancements but as tools shaping our understanding of reality. To thrive in this digital #future, we need a concerted effort to educate the public, enhance verification processes, and formulate effective regulations. This approach will help harness the potential of #AI and other emerging technologies while mitigating their risks.
