Wind Orca and Wind Osprey ready for the future of offshore renewable energy!   The crane replacement project for Cadeler's Wind Orca and Wind Osprey reflects our commitment to support our customers in staying competitive in the offshore wind industry. In a matter of months, we successfully upgraded two vessels with state-of-the-art 1600 mt GustoMSC cranes, priming them for next-generation wind turbine installation. This achievement was made possible through a collaborative effort involving GustoMSC, Cadeler, and Mammoet. Delivered from the shipyard as “digital-ready”, the equipment was set for efficient digital operations. The Max platform services provide secure data delivery, storage, visualization, and analytics for Blue Wind’s jacking systems and main crane, significantly enhancing overall operations of the jack-up. Furthermore, Shimizu Corp. is moving to fully digital reporting for location activities using OSS.Events and plans to expand its use of other Operator Support System (OSS) apps. We had the pleasure of participating in the Maritime Match Day (MMD) on May 29th, 2024. This fantastic event, organized by the student association S.G. "William Froude" of the Maritime Technology study at Delft University of Technology, provided an excellent platform for students to meet and network with leading companies in the maritime industry. It was inspiring to see so many enthusiastic students showing interest in graduation projects. We are thrilled to announce that we have officially signed the design license and jacking system contracts for Cadeler's 3rd A-class vessel! This will be the 5th NG-20000X-CA vessel under construction for Cadeler at the Cosco Qidong shipyard, marking a significant milestone as their 11th WTIV in the fleet following last year's merger with Eneti / Seajacks. With a robust backlog and growing demand towards the end of the decade, Cadeler is strategically solidifying its position in the offshore wind market.
