FincoEnergies empowers Glomar Offshore's decarbonisation journey with GoodFuels HVO30. Glomar is pleased to announce the step towards more sustainable fuels, together with our partner FincoEnergies we have chosen to use HVO30 on our whole fleet. By doing so we can cut our greenhouse emissions by 28% which is in line with the sustainability goals set by the management team of Glomar Offshore. Melvin Weij , COO at Glomar Offshore: We are proud we can step over to more sustainable fuels, we were already using Change XL on our fleet since 2019 this is the next step in that journey. We are actively looking at measures to make our company and fleet more environmentally friendly, one of the things we are now investing in also is SCR systems onboard our existing ships to cut NOx emissions. Currently the first two vessels are going to be upgraded with Tier III systems, other existing vessels will follow shortly after. We are also planning to make the next step from HVO30 to HVO40 in 2025. This will bring us close to the goals set in the IMO convention of 2030 to cut greenhouse emissions by 40%. Glomar Holding concludes buy-out of Rederij Groen Den Helder, January 12, 2024 On December 29, 2023, Glomar Holding B.V. (Glomar) has concluded the buy-out of Rederij Groen II B.V. (Rederij Groen) as shareholder. Seaspan Holding B.V. and Rederij Groen had previously agreed to explore whether a termination of their partnership was possible, this in order to enable both companies to put more focus on the execution of their own strategy. “The buy-out of Rederij Groen enables us to have full control of our strategic decisions and provides a solid base for further growth and innovation. Glomar will be able to shift its focus on strengthening its market position, improving its customer service and the expansion of its product range”, according to CEO Klaas Weij.
