Our amazing People Officer, Jonna, creates the Foleon newsletter every month to update us on the latest company news. Here’s why we think it’s a powerful example: 𝟭.     Last week we had the pleasure of welcoming some of our Dutch customers to the Foleon HQ for an afternoon of all things content - one of the many activities we’re doing this year to celebrate our 10th anniversary (whoop!). I was lucky to be joined in our panel by Alexander Janssens, Director of Sales at Bynder, and Maria Franca , Senior Automation Analyst at HubSpot - #marketing, #sales, and #revops together discussing the challenge of growing demand for personalised content and campaigns, and for efficiency in the followup and analysis of their performance. It was a really interesting session, and it gave me 3 main takeaways for GTM and revops teams to think about: 1. Organise, organise, organise: As the need to personalise the buyer journey increases dramatically, it’s going to become more and more difficult to manage and maintain the ever growing library of segment-specific assets required. Being very well organised and following strict procedures for utilising content in campaigns will be crucial for maintaining engagement. Time is money, and campaigns are expensive enough without hours spent trying to piece together the right collateral. 2. Share the load: As the diversity and volume of marketing assets increases, so does the workload on design and content teams trying to enable segment-specific campaigns. Non-specialists contributing to collateral creation will become increasingly important, in turn driving the need for templatised content and efficient repurposing. The more people that can contribute, the more an organisation can ramp audience-specific content and campaigns that deliver genuine engagement. 3. Always think about data (hygiene): To really be able to scale marketing campaigns across increasingly segmented audiences, our automation tooling has to do more lifting. And it can’t do that without useful, usable data. Whether you’re a science or an art marketeer, you need to commit to thinking through the data piece - what information can I collect, where will it go and how can it help us to get better? Audience interactions and insights can help fine tune messaging, sharpen segmentation and improve follow-up effectiveness. When the data is clean and complete, we enable our tools to do their thing - which is take work away from us and speed up our processes. Here’s what makes it such a good piece: 1. Addressing a topic that matters to employees As a company, you need to recognize that, at the end of the day, quality of life is crucial for your employees. Helvetia understood this well enough to dedicate a whole edition of their magazine to the topic. 2. Humanizing the content with (baby) pictures Communicating with your employees shouldn’t be boring. In fact, it should be the one place where you can let your creativity roam free! 3. Corporate, yet funny, approach You can be serious and funny at the same time. Take a look at how Helvetia incorporates funny details throughout the magazine. 4. Illustrate with a real-life example Make your point stronger by showing real-life examples of what you mean.
