The Art and Outreach Program at the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics (SCGP) at Stony Brook University is hosting its summer music series, which is free and open to the public.

Simons concertTuesday, July 9
Jazz Loft Originals: Sextet will perform all original compositions, with artists Tom Manuel; Miki Hayam; John Marshall, tenor sax; Steve Salerno, guitar; Dan Pugach, drums; and Dean Johnson, bass.
4:30 pm to 5 pm: Reception, Simons Center Lobby
5 pm to 6 pm: Concert in the Della Pietra Family Auditorium, Room 103

Tuesday, July 16
Classical performance by Ramtin Mohasselyazdi, composer and pianist; Eric Ness, composer and cellist; Evanglea Andreadis, violist; Athena Wilkinson, violinist; and Sophie May Bowden, violinist.
5 pm to 6 pm: Concert in the Della Pietra Family Auditorium, Room 103

Tuesday, July 30
Encore performance by Ramtin Mohasselyazdi, Eric Ness, Evanglea Andreadis, Athena Wilkinson and Sophie May Bowden.
5 pm to 6 pm: Concert in the Della Pietra Family Auditorium, Room 103

Tuesday, August 6
Jazz Loft Legends: This all-star group includes Steve Little, drums (Duke Ellington); Warren Vache, cornet (Benny Goodman, Rosemary Clooney, etc.); Houston Person, tenor sax (Etta Jones); Larry Fuller, piano; Bill Crow, bass (Stan Getz, Gerry Mulligan, etc.); and Tom Manuel (star in training!)
5 pm to 6 pm: Concert in the Della Pietra Family Auditorium, Room 103

Tuesday, August 13
