Ana
“I am finally achieving my lifelong dream of becoming a nurse. With my New Futures scholarship, my home health aide salary, and some savings, I’ve been able to enroll in Prince George’s Community College to obtain my Associate in Nursing, and I expect to earn straight As. I can’t accept less. I want to do the best I can, and will push through it however I can, and I know New Futures will be with me every step of the way.”
Ana earned a Nursing Assistant license from the American Red Cross and is now a Second-Time Scholar pursuing an Associate in Nursing at Prince George’s Community College

“New Futures got me through the impossible, and now I’m growing into the person I’ve dreamed of becoming. They gave me the tools I needed to complete my associate degree, connected me with the right advisors and resources, introduced me to professionals and companies related to my field, advised me on my business portfolio, and are helping me pay for my bachelor’s degree. The whole New Futures team is willing to go above and beyond to help all of us become successful.”
Rohan earned an Associate of Science in Cybersecurity and is now a Second-Time Scholar pursuing a Bachelors in Cybersecurity at the University of Maryland University College

They helped me pay my college tuition at Montgomery College and find additional scholarships, taught me new study skills, and supported my transfer to my ongoing undergraduate career at the University of Maryland University College. And because of what I learned through New Futures, I have all the skills and confidence I need to do well in my new job.”
Priyanka earned an Associate in Business Administration from Montgomery College in 2018.

New Futures believes that everyone should have access to the personalized tools and support they desire to achieve their educational and career aspirations. We’ve built our alumni program around the unique needs of individuals, recognizing that everyone forges a different path.
New Futures’ Alumni Program provides dedicated career coaching and support to recent graduates. We also offer leadership opportunities such as joining the Alumni Executive Committee, New Futures' Associate Board, and our Board of Directors.
Perhaps most importantly, we facilitate community building by making and creating space for alumni to connect with current Scholars and other alumni.
