it was... underwelming

and i got a 24h ban from the Hogwarts Legacy forum for bringing up the fact that you buy a slave in the new quest

Flamethrower On!

The update brought constant crashing for many across all platforms. The update has been out for almost a month and neither WB or the devs have addressed it, they don't seem to care. If you're considering getting the game wait till the issues are fixed. If you head to see the Steam discussion board on the game you can read all about it.

The photo mode is so amazing. I have very fun with it  the past days. No crashes for me with a 5700x and 4080super.

Now I have to install it again.
Is there some backup (online save)? If I removed a game from the computer because I didn't have space on it and wanted other games installed, is there a chance I could have my characters/saves available or I'll have to play it from start?

@Nimue_Aline:

As long as you just update it / let it reinstall, it should keep your save files. If you already have it de-installed, usually it depends on whether you chose to delete the save files expressively or not. Via Steam or Epic stores, according to PCGamingWiki, there is the Cloud Save feature, so there's a good chance your progress was already saved there.

You can check yourself if your save files are still on your computer:

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

- according to https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Hogwarts_Legacy

Yes, I'm playing through Steam and found all my characters saved in the cloud.
I made the last saves always at the end, but before reporting "the end" to Professor Weasley, so I could do more quests before it (I never did them all with all the characters, lol).
