Over the past few weeks, our dedicated Maxis employees conducted storytelling workshops in conjunction with Maxis eKelas #HIPMaXStoryFest2024. More than 15,000 students from 57 schools across Johor, Kedah, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Sarawak, Selangor, and Terengganu immersed themselves in the art of #storytelling, showcasing incredible talent and creativity. We were delighted to interact with the communities during these workshops. In collaboration with the English Language Teaching Centre (ELTC) of the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE), HIPMaX StoryFest 2024 is Maxis eKelas’ annual English language theatre and storytelling competition, open to all Year 4 to Form 5 Malaysian students. We had an incredible time at M Nation 2024! 🎉 It was a day filled with excitement, celebration, and forward-looking energy. As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting education and bridging the digital divide, Maxis contributed 330 refurbished laptops to 77 primary and secondary schools across Malaysia over the span of nine months. This initiative is focused on empowering students, particularly those in rural communities, by providing access to #digitallearning resources like Maxis eKelas. In conjunction with National Training Week, we recently hosted Maxis Learning Week, showcasing our dedication to fostering learning and development within the Maxis community. Our Chief People and Transformation Officer, Patrick Er, alongside experts from Coursera, Disprz, and Human Resources Development Corporation (HRDC), kicked things off with an inspiring fireside chat on the power of learning and bridging skills gaps for a future-ready workforce.   The week was also filled with insightful trainings, workshops, and talks on topics like generative AI in the workplace, project management, as well as 5.5G technology. From vibrant vendor booths by our learning partners Coursera and Disprz, to engaging internal booths by Maxis Academy and our Learning Development Unit, our employees explored a variety of learning tools available at Maxis while enjoying delicious snacks.
