New structures on embedded contact homology and applications to low-dimensional topology
Degrees / Education
PhD, UC Berkeley
Luya Wang joined our department this academic year (2023-24) as a NSF Postdoc. Before that, she completed her PhD at University of California, Berkeley in 2023.
Luya’s research lies broadly in symplectic geometry and low-dimensional topology. She is currently interested in exploring algebraic structures in Floer theory, as well as using existent tools such as pseudo-holomorphic curves to answer questions about distinguishing and classifying symplectic structures.
