MAYOR JOHN WHITMIRE WILL JOIN HOUSTON PARKS & RECREATION, HOUSTON POLICE & HOUSTON FIRE DEPARTMENTS TO KICK OFF THE 2024 SUMMER SAFETY SPLASH PROGRAM
WHAT:
Houston Mayor John Whitmire and HPARD Director Kenneth Allen will mark the official start of HPARD’s summer pool season by hosting the 2024 SUMMER SAFETY SPLASH and news conference.

HPARD has updated the swimming pool schedule for PHASE 3 openings, Saturday, June 8 – Sunday, September 1, 2024:
Beginning on Saturday, June 8, 2024
The following pools will be open on Saturday, Tuesday, & Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00
p.m.

HPARD will open additional pools as more lifeguards are hired and trained. The City of Houston is continuing to recruit additional lifeguards. Anyone interested may visit  www.houstonparks.org.
