Lone Conservative was created for college students, by college students. Our story starts in 2016 when Kassy Dillon decided to create a platform for conservative college students to have both a voice and a community. With many conservative students feeling alone on their overwhelmingly leftist campuses, creating a sense of community is one of Lone Conservative’s primary goals.
At over 400 contributors, Lone Conservative has grown exponentially since its inception and was recently honored by the Intercollegiate Studies Institute (ISI) as ISI’s Publication of the Year in 2018.
Contributors and columnists primarily write political commentary and articles on campus bias. If you've encountered something on campus that you find illogical, nonsensical, or just plain weird, we want to hear about it! If you have something to say about a specific political issue or current event, please write to us. We, and our readers, want to hear from you!
Lone Conservative, with your help, wants to be the future of conservatism. We recognize that not all conservatives fit one mold, but that we are united under a common cause— spreading conservative values. Lone Conservative is about you, and students like you, having a voice and a lasting impact on what conservatism will become.
You might come to Lone Conservative feeling alone on your campus, but we want you to leave knowing that there are many students just like you who share your experiences of being silenced on campus. Your Lone Conservative family is one click away.
