Woman, wanted man arrested after being caught with meth stash in stolen Mustang

MACON, Ga. (WKRC) - A man and a woman were arrested after they were caught with meth in a stolen Ford Mustang.

According to WGXA, GANG Units in Macon, Georgia arrested the duo after receiving a FLOCK camera alert for a stolen vehicle in Lynmore Estates. Per the outlet, a responding deputy moved in on the driver's side door with their weapon drawn and ordered the occupants of the Mustang to not move or reach for anything until backup arrived.

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office posted photos to its official Facebook account and along with information about the arrest.

When deputies arrived, they identified the driver as Michael Fowler, who was wanted on battery and aggravated assault charges in a nearby county, according to WGXA, which reported that officers also discovered four grams of meth inside the reportedly stolen Mustang.

According to WGXA, citing arrest documents, officers searched the passenger, Cassidy Burney, and found a small baggie of meth in her bookbag. Burney and Fowler were arrested and booked into the Bibb County Sheriff's Office without incident, per the outlet.

The confiscated items were sent to a crime lab for further investigation, per WGXA.
