A man in Georgia was shot to death while trying to intervene in an argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend, and the boyfriend is charged with his murder.

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office in Macon said deputies were called to an apartment complex, early Wednesday evening.

Deputies arrived to find a man had been shot and killed. He was later identified as Matthew Rachalla, 37.

Investigators said Rachalla had tried to intervene in a fight between 32-year-old Keywan Capers and Capers' girlfriend.

That's when they said Capers shot Rachalla, and then left in his girlfriend's car.

Capers was later found and arrested after trying to run away. He's charged with murder, aggravated assault, and armed robbery.
