SM Entertainment Holds Career Mentoring for Young Adults SM Entertainment (SM, CEO Jang Chul Hyuk and Tak Young Jun) participated in the Young Adult #Career #Mentoring on May 29. Following last year's session held in collaboration with the Seoul Volunteer Center, SM joined the company-affiliated ‘Career Mentoring for Young Adults’ hosted by the Amorepacific Empathy Foundation and the Seoul Metropolitan Government. Fifty-two employee volunteers from 11 companies based in Seoul, including Daum Foundation, Amorepacific, and SM Entertainment, joined in the session. Reflecting the mentees' avid interest, over 687 young adults applied for the session. The session was conducted as a small group discussion, with one mentor paired with five to six young adult mentees. Mentors shared their experiences and helped mentees design their future #careers, creating a meaningful and interactive experience. For SM, six employee #mentors from various departments, including A&R (Artists & Repertoire), Global Physical Distribution, Management, Space Contents, Communication, and General Affairs, participated in the program. They engaged in in-depth discussions with 30 mentees, each mentor guiding six mentees. One SM employee mentor commented, “It was great to refresh myself by meeting with young adults. It reminded me of the excitement I felt when I was a newcomer in the #workplace. I am delighted to help those who are struggling with making career decisions and to participate in co-development activities!” 🔍To Learn More: https://lnkd.in/gPFSJs5j #SM #SMTOWN #SMEntertainment #SMile #Career #Development

SM Entertainment Partners with Samsung Medical Center to Launch ‘SMile WoW Art School’: A K-POP Vocal and Dance Program Initiative for Cochlear Implanted Children On February 28, SM Entertainment (CEO Jang Chul Hyuk) announced a collaborative initiative with Samsung Medical Center, unveiling the ‘SMile WoW Art School’, a K-POP vocal and dance lesson initiative designed for children with cochlear implants. The ‘SMile WoW Art School’ provides professional vocal and dance lessons for cochlear implanted children. It is anticipated that engagement in these musical activities will not only enhance the participants’ sense of rhythm, pitch, and pronunciation but also boost their self-esteem and confidence. Targeting children with cochlear implants from Samsung Medical Center, the program recruited a diverse group of participants ranging from 4th graders to middle school students. Participants will engage in the orientation and eight comprehensive lessons until this May. SM Universe, a K-POP educational institution founded by SM Entertainment, joins the program to provide tailored classroom spaces, curricula, and professional instructors specifically for these children. JANG JAE WON, representative of SM Universe, said, “I sincerely wish for the children to discover the joy of music and enhance their confidence through this program.” During the orientation held at SM Universe on February 27th, Chung Won Ho, professor of otorhinolaryngology, delivered a congratulatory speech. “Considering that cochlear implanted children require at least three years of rehabilitation therapy to achieve optimal hearing, we are optimistic that the ‘SMile WoW Art School’ will offer significant benefits through music and language therapy.” After the orientation, the children and their parents participated in vocal test sessions and a dance orientation class. One of the parents remarked, “I am excited to see my children, who love to sing and dance, participate in these professional K-POP lessons. I hope that SMile WoW Art School can help children find their dreams!” Meanwhile, SM has consistently implemented social contribution activities to help teenagers develop their dreams and grow healthily. In November last year, SM hosted the ‘2023 SMile Music Festival’ at Seong-su Art Hall, Seoul to support teenagers aspiring to be musicians. Since 2015, the festival has attracted participation from 737 individuals across 88 teams. Additionally, SM has sponsored regular concerts by Allkidstra for children and teenagers in culturally underserved areas. ✅ To Learn More: https://lnkd.in/gsWBpdCz #SM #SMTOWN #SMEntertainment #SMile #SMileWoWArtSchool #SMUniverse #KPOP
