Two Rivers International Finance & Innovation Centre SEZ is thrilled to announce the successful launch of the Chanzo Onespace Startup and Scaleup Accelerator (COSSA) in collaboration with Horizons Offices Limited’s OneSpace and Chanzo Capital. The occassion was graced by Hon. Rebecca Miano,EGH, Kenyan Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry in the company of both the Board Chair and the CEO of the SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONES AUTHORITY, Mr. Fred Muteti and Dr. Kenneth Chelule respectively. The COSSA program is set to empower innovative tech scaleups by providing them with Capital, Capacity, and Community support to transform into African multinational corporations. This initiative leverages the strategic incentives of TRIFIC SEZ, the high-end office spaces and services from ONESPACE, and the capital from Chanzo Capital’s KINGS Fund. We were honored to host this groundbreaking event at our premises, marking a significant step towards creating a conducive environment for high-tech firms and fostering cross-border business growth in Africa. This week, I had the honour of participating in the launch of the Chanzo ONESPACE Startup and Scaleup Accelerator (COSSA) at TRIFIC SEZ. This initiative, in partnership with ONESPACE and Chanzo Capital, is set to revolutionize the tech landscape by providing innovative scaleups with the Capital, Capacity, and Community they need to become African multinational corporations. The COSSA program is specifically designed to support tech ventures ready to scale from their country of origin into new markets, leveraging the strategic incentives and enabling environment created by TRIFIC SEZ. With high-end office space and admin services from ONESPACE and capital from Chanzo Capital's KINGS fund, this program is poised to make a significant impact. A heartfelt thank you to our distinguished guests including our guest speaker Hon. Rebecca Miano EGH, Cabinet Secretary for Investment, Trade, and Industry, who launched the program and our Regulator Mr. Frederick Muteti; Chairman of Special Economic Zone and Dr. Kenneth Chelule ; CEO of Special Economic Zone for their invaluable support. We are thrilled to welcome the first COSSA cohort: SaveApp, At Large Innovation (ThryvCapital Partners LLP), and CheckUPS COVA. We were deeply honored to host Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano,EGH from the Ministry of Trade, Investment, and Industry as our distinguished chief guest for the official launch of the SEZ start up and scale ups program at the TRIFIC SEZ Innovation Centre. The SEZ Start ups and Scale Ups program is in collaboration with Chanzo Capital, an African focused tech VC firm investing in technology firms through it’s KINGS (Kenya, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa) fund and ONESPACE SEZ, a Pan African workspace and business support provider. The program will initially focus on tech ventures that are ready to scaleup from their country of origin into new markets, leveraging the strategic incentives TRIFIC SEZ has to offer.
