We are beyond grateful and excited to share that Code With Kids secured 3rd place in the Visa She’s Next Grant Competition on July 10th, 2024! This prestigious recognition is more than just an award; it represents a significant step forward in our mission to provide affordable and accessible STEM education to children from low-income backgrounds. Winning this competition means we can now acquire additional STEM kits, which will enhance our sessions and support the development of young innovators. This support is vital for breaking down socioeconomic barriers and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed in the digital age. A heartfelt thank you to @VisaKenya and Kayana Create for this incredible opportunity, and to everyone who has supported us on this journey. We are especially grateful to our founder, Renice Owino, whose inspiring pitch demonstrated the transformative impact of our work. Congratulations to the other finalists for their remarkable contributions: 1. Emma Omany - Founder of BUSU SKINCARE LIMITED, creating skincare products for sensitive African skin with local botanicals and beauty traditions. 2. Jean T. James - Co-founder of Timao Group, providing low-carbon construction solutions for affordable homes in Africa. 3. Ebby Gatamu - Founder of Cladfy Inc.
