🎓 Amref International University (AMIU) recently celebrated its 5th graduation ceremony with a special twist—it was the first-ever event held at the university's new campus in Northlands, Nairobi! The day was filled with inspiration, hope, and excitement for the future of healthcare in Africa.🌍 The completion of the new campus will offer even greater opportunities to train more health workers in the continent. This is a crucial step in our efforts to bridge the projected 6.1 million #health worker shortage by 2030. Currently, the African region has an estimated ratio of 1.55 health workers per 1,000 people, far below the World Health Organization threshold of 4.45 needed to deliver essential health services and achieve universal health coverage. We are committed to bridging the gap! Together, we are building a stronger, healthier Africa. 💪 🔗 Read more about the graduation: https://lnkd.in/dPnXb2WR #AMIUGraduation2024 #UHC #HealthForAll
