Asahi Group recently marked a sparkling milestone - the 120th anniversary of Wilkinson. 🎉 Wilkinson celebrated this milestone with a series of bubbly events in Shibuya, Tokyo, and where it all began – Takarazuka City, Hyogo Prefecture. Wilkinson's aim has always been clear - to make sparkling water an integral part of daily life, and thus, create a culture of enjoyment around it. This vision was first realized in 1889 when British entrepreneur John Clifford Wilkinson discovered a high-quality carbonated mineral spring in Takarazuka City. This gave birth to the Wilkinson Tansan brand in 1904, which has since been a favored choice for bartenders at renowned bars. In the spirit of celebrating the brand's rich history and the birthday of its founder, Mr. Wilkinson, on July 15, Asahi Soft Drinks, a part of the Asahi Group, held a commemorative ceremony. They marked this date as the official Wilkinson Day, paying homage to Wilkinson's enduring legacy and to encourage our valued consumers to stay bubbly cool and refreshed during the summer peak. #summer #anniversary #history

Agricultural products are vital for humanity, but environmental risks like climate change can significantly impact the yields and quality of these essential materials, as well as the lives of farmers and their communities.   In Australia, we're teaming up with our partners in #agriculture to tackle these risks head-on, deepening our understanding and improving quality management. Our collaboration with Australian farmers spans years, during which we've supported their sustainable practices and directly purchased their barley. Our connection with farming partners and rural communities is crucial.   At Asahi Group, our commitment is to source agricultural products in a way that respects both the #environment and #humanrights. Through our 2030 roadmap and new targets, we're aiming to secure sustainable raw materials and address human rights risks in our supply chains.   Explore our new approaches to agricultural raw materials on page 77 of this report: https://lnkd.in/gWPXgdiN   #AsahiGroup #EnvironmentalVision #Sustainability

Recently, we at Asahi Group held an internal workshop aimed at deepening our understanding of human rights. We screened a thought-provoking documentary film on the human rights of producers, sparking a valuable discussion amongst our members about their relevance to our industry and our organization.   Our guest speaker, Akiko SATO from UNDP, who is an expert on human rights,  raised a compelling question: "What can we, as a community, do at both corporate and individual levels, towards nature and the planet?" This sparked an insightful discussion about our responsibilities, as businesses and individuals, in respecting nature and the planet on a larger scale and within our communities.   We are committed to continuing these conversations and taking actions that reflect our dedication to human rights and sustainability.   #HumanRights #CorporateResponsibility #Sustainability

Today, we're proud to commemorate the 90th anniversary of Nikka Whisky's founding. It all began with the ambition of our founder, Masataka Taketsuru, to make authentic #whisky in Japan.   In 1934, he established our first distillery in Yoichi, Hokkaido. He meticulously chose this location due to its ideal conditions for whisky-making, including a cold climate, moderate humidity levels, crisp clean air, and an abundant supply of fresh water.   As we celebrate this milestone, our masterful craftsmanship continues to shine. We remain committed to sharing our passion with whisky lovers across the globe. With gratitude to all our customers and stakeholders who have supported us for more than 90 years, let’s cheers to the journey ahead! 🥃   #Nikka #Nikka90thAnniversary
