9.2 million euros. This is the fine that BaFin, Germany's financial regulator, has imposed on online bank N26 today. According to the official BaFin statement, what cost N26 the fine was a series of systematic delays in their filing of suspicious transaction reports. As the objective of such reports is to allow authorities to take action quickly when needed, continued delays represent an impediment to effective investigations. Hence the reason for the fine.
