Siamo orgogliosi di onorare il Presidente Claudio #Graziano con l’istituzione di una borsa di studio in sua memoria, finanziata dalla Fondazione Fincantieri e creata in collaborazione con il Centro Alti Studi per la Difesa (CASD). La borsa di studio sarà assegnata ai dottori di ricerca che conseguiranno il titolo accademico presso il CASD nei settori della difesa e della sicurezza, con attenzione anche alla dimensione subacquea e all’industria della difesa. Il progetto prevede inoltre l’organizzazione di workshop e seminari per favorire lo scambio di conoscenze tra esperti del settore e giovani ricercatori sui temi cari al Generale Graziano. “Grazie a questa iniziativa abbiamo voluto onorare la memoria del nostro Presidente Claudio Graziano, continuando a far vivere, attraverso le ricerche e i progetti che la borsa di studio sosterrà, la sua passione per la formazione e la sua visione sistemica del panorama geopolitico e dell'industria della difesa” ha commentato il nostro CEO Pierroberto Folgiero. #Fincantieri #FondazioneFincantieri

Mega news! 💥 We signed an agreement with Carnival Corporation & plc for the design, engineering and construction of three new mega-ships for the Carnival Cruise Line brand, the largest ever built by Fincantieri and an Italian shipyard. The order is for a new class of liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered vessels, which will be approximately 230,000 gross tonnes, scheduled for delivery in 2029, 2031 and 2033. Through advanced energy efficiency, waste management and emission reduction technologies, these new vessels will play a significant role in reducing the environmental footprint. Our ships have always turned #innovation on 💡   Victoria was one of the most popular and sought-after ships on the routes to the East. A record-breaker, she earned the nickname ”La Freccia Bianca”, the White Arrow, for being the fastest motor ship of her era. She was also the first to bring air conditioning on board. Great news from VARD! 🔈 Our Norwegian subsidiary signed a contract for the design and construction of one new state-of-the-art Commissioning Service Operation Vessel (CSOV) for the Norwegian company REM. Scheduled for delivery in late 2026, the new vessel will be the third of its kind built by VARD for REM, designed to provide support during the construction, operation and maintenance of offshore wind farms worldwide. Thanks to the VARD 4 19 design, the vessel will combine versatility, safety, comfort and superior functionality, offering highly flexible and fuel-efficient operation through diesel-electric and battery hybrid propulsion system. In addition, sustainability and energy efficiency will be promoted by setting aside large areas inside the vessel for future upgrades or conversion to zero emission energy sources. Congratulations to our Norwegian subsidiary VARD for the successful launching of new build 962 for NCT Offshore A/S in Tulcea, Romania! 👏 This VARD 9 01 design is a cable laying vessel especially equipped for subsea cable laying operations and developed in close collaboration with NCT Offshore. The vessel has high focus on good sea-keeping capabilities, excellent station keeping performances and low fuel consumption.
