At Samagra | Transforming Governance, our primary focus is on collaborating with states to drive deep system reforms, viewing them as pivotal units of change. Over time, we have ensured that sustainability is not an afterthought but a part of the thought process. We have focused on embedding sustainable practices through technology, institutionalising robust frameworks via government orders, and aligning incentives for various system actors to create a self-sustaining equilibrium. Large-scale social programs need a nuanced and strategic approach for increasing their efficacy and that necessitates the effective use of data and governance. Understanding what data to collect, the methods for gathering it, and defining sufficiency levels is crucial for informed decision-making by policymakers. With a focus on data management, privacy & security, and a commitment to ethical practices, we can navigate the practicalities and pave the path forward for transformative change. In sessions co-hosted by NuSocia and Samagra | Transforming Governance, we will explore ways in which policymakers can identify gaps, measure impact, and adapt strategies through data-driven insights. Join us for charcha on Data & Impact, and Policy & Governance at IHC, New Delhi from Aug 20-22. Structured #professionaldevelopment (PD) as a way to nurture homegrown #leaders within the firm has been one of Samagra's core philosophies. Over the last decade, we have invested significantly in developing and fine tuning a robust PD process. Our structured PD process includes clear goal setting, step-up opportunities, monthly 1:1 coaching conversations and regular in-person trainings, among others. These trainings act as a regular forum for reflection, learning, cross-learning and upskilling for team members at different points in their professional journey. To this end, we recently concluded a two-day immersive workshop on ‘Manager as a Coach’, led by Rajen Makhijani, Founder of Impactivate Solutions, for our junior managers and leadership team at #Samagra. The workshop emphasized on the role of the coach as a facilitator, guiding coachees to uncover solutions which exist within themselves to help them attain their goal. On the first day, through hands-on & observation based learning, coaches learnt the essential skills for effective coaching i.e. deep listening, asking the right questions and soliciting feedback. This was followed by learning about the GROW framework (Goal, Reality, Options, Wrap Up) to structure coaching conversations. On the final day, coaches put their learning into action by conducting effective 1:1s with their coachees. Check out glimpses from the workshop below👇 #SamagraBTS

#8YearsofCMGGA The Chief Minister's Good Governance Associates Programme in Haryana, initiated in 2016, is a unique public-private partnership between the Government of Haryana, Ashoka University and Samagra. CMGGA has been the longest running fellowship programme in the country, providing young professionals a platform to closely work with the district administration to catalyze implementation of flagship initiatives of the state. Attempt the poll based on your understanding of #TheGovernanceMatrix. The Governance Matrix determines the readiness of a government system (national, state or local) to drive outcomes as a function of the level of political salience and system capacity. The four quadrants of The Governance Matrix are: 1. Comatose (Low Political Salience, Low System Capacity) 2. Shooting Star (High Political Salience, Low System Capacity) 3. Sleeping Giant (Low Political Salience, High System Capacity) 4. Battle Ready (High Political Salience, High System Capacity) To know more about The Governance Matrix refer to the newsletter: https://bit.ly/3FB59Zx #GovernanceFrameworks #CMGGA
