SaaSBoomi is a community of SaaS Founders and product builders shaping India’s SaaS industry. We came together in the summer of 2015 as an informal group of SaaS founders looking to network and learn from each other. Since then, India’s SaaS industry has grown to become over $1.5 billion in annual revenues, with around 800 companies as an active part of the community. Our mission is to help SaaS founders learn from each other’s journeys across different life stages of their companies-from ARR of $0 to $100 million and beyond.

Recently in #Dubai, engaging with Veris customers and representing SaaSBoomi’s #Qafila initiative, our mission is to help Indian founders establish a base in the GCC. 🌠 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜𝗹𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 In just 5 days, over 15 CXOs were engaged, with profound insights and crystal-clear asks. Excitingly, every one of them supported SaaSBoomi's mission to help Indian startups expand in the region, signaling promising times ahead. 🌆 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 For #SaaS startups from India to thrive in the UAE, alignment with the region’s vision, demographics, and financial flows is essential. Initiatives like “We the UAE 2031” and “Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan” emphasize diversification, innovation, and sustainability, shaping the path for startups in the region. ✅ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗫𝗢𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗲 Quality, service, and innovation are non-negotiable. CXOs seek partnerships with seasoned players, comprehensive support, and opportunities for cross-industry learning. My co-travelers, Amrutha Jalihal, Shruti Kapoor, and Dhruvil Sanghvi, added immense depth to our learnings. Together, we’ve laid the groundwork for the India-GCC corridor.     #AI is everywhere and for all the right reasons! ☝ But have you wondered where it all began? How have AI models like ChatGPT evolved to know exactly what you’re thinking? So, where do we go from here? Let’s walk you through some key nuts and bolts in the development of the model architectures (in less than 3mins). 👇 🔩 The start of a great journey >> The start can be traced back to Neural Networks. In simple words, neural networks were algorithms that recognized patterns and made predictions (more like probabilistic guesses). This was used to program machines to make predictions, based on certain training data. While this was fairly straightforward, it was still a static model - the number of inputs was pre-fixed, processed all at once, and the output was usually just a single value. This fell short if we wanted to look at something slightly more complex - Data with layered context that needed to be processed in a certain sequence to render a logical output. 🔩 From simple to complex with Sequential modeling >> Enter Recurrent Neural Networks or RNNs! These were designed to process data in a specific order, capturing context as they go (just like the autocomplete suggestions on a text messaging app like WhatsApp). But RNNs weren’t perfect either and struggled with long sentences, losing valuable context along the way. 🔩 A game changer was born: Transformers >> In 2017, Transformers revolutionized the game. Unlike RNNs, Transformers use a technique called 'self-attention' to identify the most important and relevant parts of a sentence, making their predictions more accurate and contextually relevant. Transformers didn't just predict the next word; they did it efficiently and could handle much larger datasets. Today, they are the core building block of foundational models like GPT & DALL-E. 🔩 The end - The way ahead >> These advancements have paved the way for the amazing AI applications we use today.     Championing 🇮🇳's 1st pay-it-forward community that accelerates SaaS growth!

    Since 2022, I have been reflecting on two key aspects 👇: 1. How did SaaSBoomi Caravan come to be? The idea for SaaSBoomi Caravan originated with Manav Garg, who envisioned the need to build the brand for SaaSBoomi (SB) in the United States. The goal was to ensure that the investor and founder communities in the US knew about SB and the burgeoning IndiaSaaS ecosystem. Vinod Muthukrishnan, with his charm, execution prowess, and leadership skills, became the face of this initiative, helping to organize an impressive first event. Despite being a 10-day event, it was packed with a meticulously planned program. Vinod Muthukrishnan, Priya Ramachandran, Avinash Harsh and I wanted to design the SaaSBoomi Caravan differently. We aimed to build relationships first, with work being a natural byproduct. My understanding of technology and the power of SaaS has been shaped through deep conversations with founders and senior leaders. We wanted to replicate this process with Caravan, so we created smaller, intimate groups where people could learn from each other’s experiences and challenges. Our goal was to "unconference" the typical founder summit experience. 2. What drives the SaaSBoomi Caravan? The primary motivation behind the SaaSBoomi Caravan is to help our founders gain a deeper understanding of the US market, including business practices, market scale, and strategies for building products suited for that market. It serves as an excellent platform to connect with key figures in the India-US corridor. There’s a lot of bonding and learning involved, particularly regarding go-to-market (GTM) strategies for the US. While we provide playbooks for the Indian market, the US market is very different. With good people and luck being on our side, Caravan has evolved into a supportive community for founders building for the US market. Founders come forward to help each other, fostering a collaborative environment. We are now all set for our third edition, with passes available at super early bird pricing that closes soon.
