A prime example today is the extensive utilization of natural resources by humanity, leading to adverse consequences such as #climate impacts, scarcity of fresh water, energy shortages, and even pollution in urban areas. As a nation, to address energy shortages and reduce reliance on fossil fuels, the Indian government has set ambitious renewable energy targets. This initiative involves significant efforts through policy changes, accelerating the launch of new #renewableenergy tenders, and reforming regulatory frameworks. Each participant in the #renewable energy sector plays a vital role in supporting Central and State government objectives. At Mahindra Susten, we have set aggressive targets to expand our Independent Power Producer (IPP) portfolio in the coming years. As part of this journey, we are pleased to announce the groundbreaking of our 280 MWp GUVNL project in Gujarat. Upon completion, this project is expected to generate over 450 million green units/year and mitigate around 9.0 million Metric Tons equivalent of CO2 emissions over the next 25 years. At Mahindra Susten, we are committed to playing a significant role in realizing Gujarat Government's vision of achieving 50% renewable energy capacity by 2030.

As our young trainees gear up to bridge the skill gap in the burgeoning renewable energy sector, they also took a significant step towards serving the environment by participating in a tree plantation drive. 🌳 The Indian renewable market is witnessing steady growth, with annual installations of around 20-25 GWp. As this market expands, the demand for skilled manpower is projected to rise from 164,000 to 1 million. At Susten COE, we are at the forefront of this transformation, having trained over 4,800 individuals in renewable technology, including 140 young women. Our efforts not only foster inclusivity but also ensure a steady flow of expertise into the renewable sector. 🌞 Our outreach extends beyond technical training. With over 10,000 youth trained in semi-skilled trades, we've enabled countless individuals to make meaningful contributions to the renewable energy sector.
