🏆 **Big Congratulations to Rajat Ranjan for Winning Wipro’s Sustainability Machine Learning Challenge which was organized in collaboration with Wipro on 14th February, 2022!** 🏆 Rajat, a Senior Data Scientist at Allstate India, has showcased his exceptional skills in machine learning, modeling, and visualization to secure this victory. His innovative approach and dedication have truly set a benchmark in the field. Rajat’s winning solution involved a meticulous approach that utilized group time series split based on days, yielding better results than year-based splits. He leveraged an ensemble of different cross-validation strategies with LGBM as the base model and analyzed daily peaks to gain deeper insights. Additionally, he incorporated clear sky metrics such as temperature, transmittance, and air mass for enhanced context. Rajat also applied essential lag, rolling, and expanding statistics for robust time series forecasting. Rajat holds a strong background in data science and analytics in the IT and services/product industry. He is skilled in machine learning, modeling, and visualization using Python, and is proficient in strong onsite client interaction and analyzing stakeholders’ needs. Keep pushing boundaries, Rajat! AI is evolving at lightning speed, and staying informed is essential for anyone in the field. TED Talks offer an incredible resource to learn from industry visionaries, providing insights into the latest advancements, ethical considerations, and future directions of AI. Watch these recent AI TED Talks to keep your knowledge upto date! Mustafa Suleyman - What is AI Anyway? When it comes to artificial intelligence, what are we actually creating? Even those closest to its development are struggling to describe exactly where things are headed, says Microsoft AI CEO Mustafa Suleyman, one of the primary architects of the AI models many of us use today. In this TED Talk he offers an honest and compelling new vision for the future of AI, proposing an unignorable metaphor — a new digital species — to focus attention on this extraordinary moment. Neil Nie-Understanding AI and its Future Neil Nie demonstrates how artificial intelligence--and particularly, object recognition--works... and how it will effect the future. Neil Nie is a computer science student at Deerfield Academy. He started programming when he was 13 and has developed many applications for iPhones and Macs. Neil currently has several apps on the App Store and is researching neural networks and machine learning. Rob Toews- AI’s Single Point of Failure "The world's most important advanced technology is nearly all produced in a single facility," says AI expert Rob Toews. He describes how one company in Taiwan, TSMC, manufactures nearly all the most advanced semiconductor chips — a crucial technology that powers everything from phones to electric vehicles to next-generation artificial intelligence — and breaks down how geopolitical tensions in the region could paralyze the global field of AI. Dr. Sasha Luccioni - AI is Dangerous but Not for the Reasons You Think AI won't kill us all — but that doesn't make it trustworthy. Instead of getting distracted by future existential risks, AI ethics researcher Sasha Luccioni thinks we need to focus on the technology's current negative impacts, like emitting carbon, infringing copyrights and spreading biased information. She offers practical solutions to regulate our AI-filled future — so it's inclusive and transparent. Andrew Ng -How AI Could Empower Any Business Expensive to build and often needing highly skilled engineers to maintain, artificial intelligence systems generally only pay off for large tech companies with vast amounts of data. But what if your local pizza shop could use AI to predict which flavor would sell best each day of the week? Andrew Ng shares a vision for democratizing access to AI, empowering any business to make decisions that will increase their profit and productivity. Learn how we could build a richer society – all with just a few self-provided data points.
