Poshan Chapters are diverse groups representing a particular city, college, or locality, united by the drive to create impact. Each chapter self-organizes to initiate projects that address the needs of the community. The projects are wide-ranging food literacy campaigns, strengthening Anganwadi centers, identifying local NGOs for meal support, door-to-door awareness about Government schemes and emergency relief initiatives, and more. We are thrilled to share that we recently held our first-ever Poshan Community Meet-Up, and we had the privilege of familiarizing them with all our program verticals, enabling them to actively engage and make a lasting impact within each initiative. Presidents of Poshan Chapters from across Delhi-NCR joined us both offline and online at Feeding India HQ in Gurugram, creating a powerful atmosphere of unity and purpose. 𝐀 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫! 😊 On Zomato's 16th birthday 🎂 on the 10th of July, we conducted a Feeding India volunteering drive. For those not familiar, Feeding India, a Zomato giveback, is a non-profit organization dedicated to eradicate hunger and improve malnutrition outcomes in India. The NGO partner school we visited in Gurgaon had 350+ tiny bundles of joy, curiosity and unlimited energy. Talking to them, singing for them, watching them break into small dances was a sight to behold. One such moment from the day where curiosity was at full display was teaching them a few bits of guitar playing. What followed was a euphoric sing along. A day well celebrated! We are thrilled to announce the inauguration of Feeding India’s SNEHshala Anganwadi centre in Gurugram, graced by the presence of Add. District Commissioner Shri Hitesh Meena. The SNEHshala initiative aims to transform Anganwadi centres with enhanced civil work, WASH (Water, Sanitation, & Hygiene) facilities, and vibrant BaLa (Building As Learning Aid) paintings. These improvements create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for children aged 0-6. After a successful pilot in 10 centres across Gurugram, Varanasi, and Kushinagar, we are set to expand the SNEHshala Anganwadi network to 100+ centres by the end of 2024.
