The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) recently approved Biocon Biologics’ first-to-file application for Yesafili™ (aflibercept-jbvf), which is intended for the treatment of age-related macular degeneration and visual impairment. It was the Company’s expansion into the ophthalmology therapeutic area in the United States. --- FDA-approved biosimilars are safe and effective treatment options that could provide immense savings on lifesaving medications. Celebrating Excellence at Biocon ! We had an amazing time at our 3rd Annual Awards Ceremony 2024 on July 5th at Tyler Jacks Auditorium, Biocon Park. It was a fantastic event where we recognized and celebrated our employees' incredible achievements. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, our Executive Chairperson, was the Guest of Honor and gave an inspiring speech. We had 400 employees join us in person and over 1300 virtually! Our in-house talent wowed the audience with percussion, dance, and even their MC-skills! We closed the momentous occasion with an emotional ribbon unfurling ceremony - from our leaders hands through our people's hands - that signified the deep ties each of us has to the intrinsic DNA of our organization - in the work we do, the passion we do it with, and the patients for whom we do it - our North Star - across the world.
