About us
Maccabi Tel Aviv B.C is a professional Israeli basketball club based in Tel Aviv. The team plays in two leagues: the Euroleague, the Israeli Basketball Super League. The club started in the mid-1930s, as part of the Maccabi Tel Aviv Sports Club, which had been founded in 1906. With 6 European Championships, 1 Adriatic Championship, 54 Israeli Championships, 45 Israeli Cups, and 7 League Cups, Maccabi has been the most decorated professional sports team in the world. Its players such as Tal Brody, Miki Berkovich, Motti Aroesti, Jim Boatwright, Kevin Magee, Doron Jamchi, Earl Williams, and Aulcie Perry, and more recently Derrick Sharp, Šarūnas Jasikevičius, Anthony Parker and Nikola Vujčić, have been among the elite of Europe's basketball players.

אתם זוכרים איך זה להתרגש כמו ילדים? הניצוץ הזה בעיניים והפרפרים בבטן, החיוך שלא יורד מהפנים כי אתם חווים רגע מיוחד ונדיר, שמחה טהורה שהלב מתקשה להכיל. אתמול בערב הניצוץ האיר פי 200 את היכל מנורה, בערב מיוחד בו אירחנו 200 ילדי בי״ס אלון משדרות במשחק של מכבי ת״א מול בני הרצליה. בשיתוף פעולה והירתמות מדהימה של Doron Jamchy והצוות של Maccabi Tel-Aviv Basketball Club ערכנו להם סיור בהיכל התהילה, הם עלו עם השחקנים לפרקט וצפו במשחק בו הניצחון הוקדש כל כולו להם. זכיתי בענק לעבוד במקום שמאפשר להפיץ אור בתקופה החשוכה הזאת ולתת לילדים לחוות רגעים מלאי אושר ותום. אז בתור אדם מבוגר, באופן דיי אבסורדי, יחד עם הנאיביות שנעלמה לחלוטין באותה שבת איומה, איכשהו גם התחזקה התחושה שאל לנו לאבד את התקווה לעולם, כי יש לנו עוצמה מטורפת כנגד כל הרע שיבוא עלינו והכל בזכות הערבות והכוח שלנו יחד.
