AerCap has welcomed the enactment of new Mississippi taxation legislation, House Bill 1855, that introduces an exemption from sales tax for the lease or other retail transfers of fixed-wing aircraft and engines, accessories and spare parts for such fixed wing aircraft. The new legislation was enacted on April 25, 2024, and the bill was ceremonially signed into law by the Governor of Mississippi, Tate Reeves, in a special ceremony held at the Walter Sillers State Office Building in Jackson, Mississippi on July 8, 2024. June is the month when we take the opportunity to celebrate #Pride and the LGBTQIA+ community. This #PrideMonth, we were delighted to be joined by Moninne Griffith, CEO of Belong To, a national organization supporting LGBTQ+ young people in Ireland. She shared practical advice and guidance for parents and families on how to create a supportive environment for LGBTQ+ young people. This year also marks the 50th Anniversary of Pride in Ireland and our teams had the opportunity to learn more about the history of the Pride movement from Jed Dowling, Co-CEO of Dublin LGBTQ+ Pride CLG and Pride at Work. Continuing the celebrations, our teams in Dublin, Shannon, Singapore, Miami and Memphis took part in the annual AerCap Stride for Pride organized walk and run events to help raise awareness and funds for LGBTQIA+ organizations around the world. Today, John Burke, Chief Technical Officer of AerCap, gave a keynote address at the joint Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) - EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency International Aviation Safety Conference in Washington. Attended by more than 400 representatives from over 20 regulatory bodies, John shared a lessors' perspective on safety within the global aviation industry. During his presentation, John highlighted industry opportunities within the wider aviation ecosystem such as digitalization of documentation, standardization of records, aircraft completion and conversion, registration and de-registration of aircraft, maintenance, and decarbonization. AerCap today announced it has signed lease agreements for four 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) aircraft with JD Airlines, the cargo airline of JD Logistics (also known as Jingdong Logistics), which are scheduled for delivery in 2024. Commenting on the agreement, Richard Greener, the Head of AerCap Cargo, said, "We are delighted to announce this new agreement with JD Airlines, marking an exciting expansion of our business relationship. The addition of these four 737-800BCF aircraft to their fleet will enable JD Airlines to respond to the ever-growing demand for e-commerce and express deliveries. AerCap is proud to sponsor Leinster Hockey Association's high-performance player and coach development programme for the junior age teams. Last weekend, Hockey Ireland hosted the U15 Girls and Boys Festival at Three Rock Rovers Hockey Club in Dublin. The entry-level event encourages participation from regional teams from each of the four provinces, with many players representing their province for the first time and aspiring to compete in the Autumn Inter-Provincial competitions at Under 16 level later in the year. On Friday, Leinster Hockey hosted its annual hockey clinic for children and relatives of AerCap employees, encouraging many budding players of the future. Thank you to Diane Lodewyks, Ann Ronan and Laura Greene for organizing a super event and of course to our own ESG mascot, Captain AER who made an appearance much to the delight of the children. #WeAreAerCap #NeverStandStill
