Additionally, Mr. Samaroo serves as the Chairman of Demerara Bank Limited, Diamond Fire & General Insurance Inc. in Guyana and the Institute of Private Enterprise Development Limited (IPED), a non-profit private sector micro and small business financing institution. Furthermore, he is the recipient of two national Awards. The Cacique’s Crown of Honour (C.C.H) was awarded in 2018, for his contribution to business development, and the Golden Arrow of Achievment was awarded in 1993, for service of an exceptionally high standard in the field of Financial Management & Business.
