Eight restaurants showing a noteworthy commitment to sustainable dining were awarded the very first Green Stars in the Netherlands.

Michelin presents the 2021 edition of the MICHELIN Guide Germany: Despite the health crisis, this year's restaurant selection confirms the diversity and high level of cuisine offered by Germany’s fine dining scene. This latest selection features no fewer than 310 starred restaurants, including one new Three Star restaurant, three new Two Star restaurants and 25 new One Star restaurants.

Among a total of 69 MICHELIN-starred restaurants in Hong Kong and 18 starred restaurants in Macau, 2 restaurants newly receive Two Stars and 8 restaurants receive One Star.

Despite the ongoing crisis facing restaurants, the 2021 edition of the MICHELIN Guide reaffirms the resilience, excellence and vibrancy of the French fine dining scene, with many talented young chefs coming into their own across the country. Ten restaurants that are particularly committed to a sustainable approach to gastronomy have earned the first Green Stars to be awarded in Belgium and Luxembourg.

In an exclusive virtual gala broadcast from La Puerta Del Sol in Madrid, the MICHELIN Guide Spain & Portugal unveiled its new 2021 restaurant selection. Featuring 252 starred establishments, including 3 new two Star restaurants and 21 that won their first Star, the 2021 edition also welcomed a new distinction, the MICHELIN Green Star which aims to highlight exemplary establishments operating at the forefront of sustainable gastronomy with virtuous initiatives.

With 446 restaurants listed – including 2 new restaurants with Three Stars, 2 with Two Stars and 18 with One Star – as well as 34 hotels and ryokans, the Japanese capital continues to be one of the most dynamic and attractive destinations in the world for food and hospitality.

Michelin is pleased to unveil its new edition of the MICHELIN Guide Italy 2021 during the 66th edition. This occasion also marked the debut of a new distinction – the MICHELIN Green Star – awarded to chefs who promote sustainable cooking.
