Lab resources are available to all Stanford GSB faculty and PhD students to support research that uses human participants, whether the focus is organizational behavior, behavioral marketing, political economics, or any other discipline.

For researchers affiliated with the GSB, our trained lab staff can assist with most stages of an experiment or study. Simply fill out a help request form, and we will be in touch within 24 to 48 hours.

The B-Lab staff can assist with research in several ways:

  • Carry out in-person laboratory experiments
  • Build experimental materials for laboratory and online experiments
  • Consult on experiment and survey design
  • Program surveys
  • Collect responses to surveys via online subject pools

The B-Lab has many resources available to researchers:

  • 2,100 square foot dedicated laboratory with 12 experiment rooms and 38 computers
  • Access to another on-campus lab which provides even more laboratory space
  • Tobii eye-tracking technology
  • Oculus virtual reality headsets
  • Psychophysiology equipment
  • LIWC language processing software
  • Various other software packages and online research platforms

The lab also has experienced technical staff that can provide in-depth support on complex technical projects. Please contact the lab director for more information.

Stanford GSB researchers may also use the lab facilities to conduct their research without the help of the lab staff if they have their own research assistants. Just reach out to the lab director to coordinate.
