About wave to earth

Wave To Earth (웨이브투어스) is an indie surf-rock band consisting of 3 members:

Originally, the band consisted of Dong Q and Daniel Kim, debuting with their single “wave” in August 2019. It was around this time that Kim, the frontman and vocalist suggested including a bassist to the group, which is when Dong Q, the drummer, introduced Kim to John Cha. In January of 2020, Wave To Earth released their first EP wave 0.01 with the addition of John Cha as the group’s bassist. The band also has “session members”, namely, Jo Jung-guen on the synth and Jeon Min on the saxophone, while artist Hong Seung-gi assists with artwork.

Their music has a distinctly mellow, jazz-inspired slow sound, which is easy on the ears. Their first EP, wave 0.01, featured their breakout song “light”, and was well-recieved by audiences. They then released their second EP, summer flows 0.02, which included popular songs such as “seasons”, “ocean floor” and “ride.”

In November 21 of 2021, it was announced that the group signed to South Korean R&B/Hip-Hop recording label Wavy, founded by artist Colde.

On April 20th, 2023, after two years, they dropped their first full-length album 0.1 flaws and all which garnered them critical acclaim, particularly for songs such as “peach eyes”, “bad” and “homesick,”, with the main theme of the album focusing on love. The group also embarked on a sold out US tour to accompany the album rollout.
