Strange Behavior Lyrics
Looking at all this strange behavior
Well, I think I understand why this lonely ghost
Is everything I wanted to know
So I followed it to any hole
[Chorus]
It says, "Look at this, this is just a shadow
What you thought was faith, that was hollow
Look at you, you've been chasing shadows
That's why you wake up in two"
[Verse 2]
Holding on to all this strange behavior
Can't believe what I thought would save me
A pretty girl
If I follow her around the world
When I catch her, she'll say to me
[Chorus]
"Look at this, this is just a shadow
What you thought was faith, that was hollow
Look at you, you've been chasing shadows
That's why you wake up in two"
About
The ninth and penultimate track of the third Bleachers album is a cover of one of Jack Antonoff’s older songs from his time with Steel Train. The song was first released on their self-titled, then just titled Behavior. The new version offers a more minimalist and acoustic guitar driven take on the song.

Jack Antonoff:
I wrote the song a long time ago. I wanted to put it on the album because it’s the only song I’ve ever written in the past that feels like it’s still in the future for me. And at the time when I wrote it, I made it really loud and bombastic. I think I was a little bit afraid of it. I wanted to reapproach it with the confidence and vulnerability of how I feel now.
