Responsible for the strategic planning and activation of trade marketing campaigns across key France performance wholesale accounts. The role is responsible for the management of the FR trade marketing performance team to deliver against strategy and best in class sell-in & sell-out support within retail and online platforms.

Reports directly into French Marketing Manager and will work closely with FR Sales leads, EMEA Marketing team, along with wholesale partners marketing teams to strategically plan, build & execute process, activate these strategic accounts and provide analytical evaluation & reporting.

Responsible for the Trade Marketing strategy, planning and activation for key France performance wholesale accounts. The role will need to provide strategic direction, clear investment principles and marketing guidance into commercial priorities for each of the accounts. The role is responsible for the management of the FR trade marketing performance team to deliver against strategy and best in class sell-in & sell-out support within retail and online platforms.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Marketing Strategy and Execution

  • Working closely with the Marketing Manager to strategically plan the long-term deliverables of the trade marketing performance team in line with projected sales growth for the next 3-4 years
  • Owns all aspects of developing a data driven marketing strategy for a set of accounts
  • Owns and drives the integration of our brand narrative across all touchpoints from online to offline ensuring the best possible outcomes for our brand.
  • Have a clear understanding of all revenue generating wholesalers and analyze their impact versus investment, and define key brand and commercial priorities and investment opportunities
  • Build account segmentation plans, have a clear picture on their consumer profiling, game plan and long-term vision to evaluate and prioritize support, tactics and investment
  • Be accountable for the management of the Trade Marketing Performance budget, setting investment guardrails versus orderbook and opportunity. Consistently monitor, provide an agile budget laydown that allows for change of direction and be at the forefront of account shifts that impact investment
  • Demonstrate an integrated customer journey across all marketing touchpoints, working closely with brand marketing to align and ensure efficiency of investment and activity for the team

  • Build robust reporting that highlights successes and evaluates the return of investment. Provide ongoing communication of activity with both internal and external teams
  • Develop team to understand and deliver against objectives. Provide valued measures for success and continued evolution and development
  • Build solid relationships with all strategic wholesale retailers across buying, merchandising and marketing as well as with internal teams to ensure a fully integrated workflow from sales, merchandising, customer service and marketing teams
  • Generate relationships to be fully integrated with retail buyers & marketing teams as well as internal account managers and customer service.

Sell In & Sell Out: Manage Strategic Regional ‘must-win’ accounts

  • Working closely with account team to create and present account specific pre-line and sell-in presentations
  • Create and deliver best-in-class buying experience for customers
  • Collaborate with FR Sales in building plans to hit or over-achieve forecasted numbers
  • Obsess with the results through ROI reports, establishing objectives, budget spend and sell through target ahead of each activation
  • Create, coordinate and activate marketing plan to achieve ideal sell through rate
  • Deliver/activate marketing plan with wholesale accounts and third-party teams (agencies/athletes/talents)
  • Communicate results and ROI report to wider team
  • Analyse & evaluate results to constantly learn and improve for future campaigns
  • Adopt a ‘test & learn’ approach to a portion of investment

  • Management: Leading and developing a team
  • Strategic and commercial mindset with strong reporting and analytical skills
  • Experience in managing & delivering marketing campaigns across online and offline
  • Strong knowledge and obsession of the Running/Football marketplace
  • Experience in the sports, culture and lifestyle retail industry
  • Experience of juggling multiple projects at the same time
  • Process driven with a clear understanding of working across multiple stakeholders, wholesalers, seasons, products, agencies and departments
  • Good understanding of consumer behaviour and the ability to deliver campaigns from awareness through to conversion
  • A people person who builds relationships easily
